Ensure that you represent Delta Industrial in a professional manner at all times.
Obtain and maintain all of the proper local, state and federal licenses / certifications required by law to drive motor vehicles for Delta Industrial.
Obtain and maintain the proper Delta Industrial certifications for operating required trucks and construction equipment (i.e. dump truck, semi-tractor, manlift, skid loader, excavator, front end loader, site-truck, carry deck crane, boom crane, etc.)
Complete inspect reports on all vehicles and equipment on a daily basis, prior to leaving the yard or entering the roadways and coordinate all necessary maintenance with dispatch, safety director or shop mechanics.
Adhere to all U.S. D.O.T., MI D.O.T. and Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations.
Communicate with dispatch on a daily basis or as required throughout the day relating to pick-up / delivery status and scheduling updates.
Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly prior to entering the roadways and during transit.
Complete required paperwork (i.e. JSA’s, equipment inspections, accident forms, injury forms, etc.) as required and turn into the appropriate office department in a timely manner.
Collect and submit daily paperwork (i.e. receipts, shippers, yard slips, etc.) to the appropriate office department in a timely manner
Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times!
Reporting:
Communicate with dispatch regarding pick-up / delivery status and daily scheduling.
Communicate with dispatch, safety director or shop mechanics relating to necessary vehicle and equipment repairs as a result of inspections.
Communicate with dispatch or safety director regarding any safety incidents, near misses or general safety concerns as required.
